Posted: 27 Aug 2005 22:58:16 I'm new here but one thing I found already is that some of the profiles that come up in searching the areas I am targeting are to put it Very Stale. 1244 days since the last login since the last log in is ridiculous to have sitting there, even profiles that have not logged in for a year are stale. When you do a meta file search on any of the .silver sites you getOver a million matches waiting for you!. That's a bit deceiving. Only about 25% are actually active in the last month or at least in Asia. How a bout a database purge of all the dead members. Personally I'd rather have 10 active people than 25 more that no one will ever look at. |

Posted: 29 Aug 2005 23:43:27 Now we are finishing the work under the tools against scammers and spammers. The next step will be the regrading of our members profiles. |

Posted: 30 Aug 2005 12:43:35 Regrading.. It's purging you need. I've only joined for a very short time but If you don't get your act together and deal with and fix some of the problems fixed that have been addressed on this board, scammers and spamers will be the least of your problems. There will not be any sites running for them to scam or spam. |

Posted: 30 Aug 2005 23:55:55 Recently we have made the transfer into a new system and many profiles are being manually checked again. Now we are trying to work out some measures for increasing user activity in our network. The arrangement of profiles in dotSilver is based on members activity. It means, that the members, who were recently on the site, get the first positions in search. And vice versa, the members, who are passive, go down in search results. The same applies to those profiles that have photos uploaded. Thus visitors first see quality and active profiles. Thank you. |

Posted: 31 Aug 2005 02:21:06 would it be possible (that depends on programers maybe) to send the "passive members" one email before deleting ? as this one for example : Dear $member, It has been n days since you logged into your account at $partnersite. Here's a quick reminder of what you've been missing. *Member Chat Rooms *Singles Browse *IM to other members... Here's a quick reminder of your username and password. Here is your login information: Username: login Password: pwd Welcome back to $partnersite, $partner ps : without any news from you before one week, your account will be deleted. |

Posted: 31 Aug 2005 05:20:48 Sorry if there are many questions, but I'm trying to help as I can by only giving ideas and I understand too that you cannot do everytthing without forgetting anything, though I am back with the idea that you try to do your best. |
