What are some possible reasons a new user would continue to get an error while trying to register with my site?

The user in question continues to get the message telling them the site was unable to register them at this time.

I checked my site by making a new test profile and had no trouble creating a profile and getting the proper pages displayed.

Are there settings people could have on their computers that would prevent them from completing the process?

I need to know what to tell my prospective member so I can get them registered.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, the problem could probably be because of the user's IP address. There are some open proxies addresses that are not allowed, because they are usually used by scamers.

Is someone from Togo, Lome possibly using a blocked IP?
Are any specific countries being blocked?

This country is among the countries whence the scamers stream is very huge.
We will register them if they will send us the scans of their passports or driver licenses.

Is a list available for partners to know which countries are being blocked?

I have sent you a letter with the blocked countries, Raybman.

Thank you, I got it.

Is it possible to have a message appear or sent to a new registrant immediatelly, so they learn quickly that they cannot register because of their orginating IP address?

I think it would be more convenient and efficient for users and partners.

Maybe in the next upgrade, huh?

Hello raybman, it seems to me, that you didn't understand the meaning of this ban. Let me clarify.

The users do not need to know about it, if we'll say them, that they were blocked because of their IP addresses, they will use proxies and we'll be powerless to do anything. We want to confuse scamers in order not to let them join our system. The clarification of this matter for members will destroy the whole purport of this ban.

P.S. Zambia and Guinea-Bissau are in this list as well, and Belize is not.

The reason for my suggestion was because a prospective member emailed me through my support link asking for help in registering. This user stated she was unable to complete the registratiion. I was unaware of their country of origin nor that any specific countries were being blocked. Since I was not aware of the ban I suggested to the user to send their sign-up information so that I could enter it for her.

Based on what is stated in your reply, this probably wasn't a good idea. If I was aware of which countries were banned I would not have made the entry.

My point is, the list of countries you sent to me would have been useful to have in advance. It seems to me, partners should have access to the banned list. If on my site I block the same countries/IP addresses that are on the list then this would be a non-issue, correct? If all sites in the network are blocking these same IP's then we will all be more secure, or is my logic incorrect?

Don't worry, every member passes through our control on server during the registration. So, you don't need to care of it.

But when I have a user sending emails to my support mail, the blocked list will allow me to know quickly if their trouble is due to an IP block or some other issue.

I see the list as another tool a partner needs to maintain their site. Perhaps it could be provided in the README file for future reference.

Something to consider...

I understand your position, but I think, that it's a bad idea, because everyone can register as a partner and get to know this information. And this is a private info.

Simply if someone will get some problems with it we will be explaining, but without the publicity.

Hi there,

I officially gave up with making money from websites beginning 2010 when I decided to take another approach to making money and not working for a boss. This is when I met James aka 'The Prophet'. James is good at mathematics and he has applied his skills at trading penny stocks. I started trading alongside James and so far I'm having great results. I initially invested $100 which has now grown to $180 in just over a month. How is that for a great return? I invite everyone to join the program and receive daily trading instructions directly in your inbox. You can even give James a call. You don't even have to know how the stock market works. You can get trading within an hour, PennyStockProphet Join the proram, it's risk free, you receive a 2 month money-back guarantee. Just thought I'd share my 2 cents worth.
