lerchik22@inbox.ru	Posted: 16 Feb 2006 01:30:38 I was trying to install your script dating-.silver-partner-2.0.4- I have hosting in www.livin4.com and Script Installation has written me : " to change the permissions for the following directories using FTP or SSH /layouts/mon-cher/cache/ (must be 777) /layouts/mon-cher/templates_c/ (must be 777) /articles/images/ (must be 777) " I have written techsupport to help me to change this in my script and receive an answer: "We will not change the directories to 777 permission and we strongly suggest you do not change them to that either because it is one of the quickest ways to invite hackers to destroy your site and affect our server stability." Could you advice me the right way to instll your script in this case? Thank you,Valeria
raybman Member	Posted: 16 Feb 2006 08:52:48 Your FTP program should have a way to change those permissions (CHMOD). Some FTP programs allow you to right-click on the remote folder and the option will appear. It would be very odd if your FTP program did not have this function. Remember: Change only those directories you listed. dotSilver needs to add this information to their installation instructions, since some of the layout templates need those directories created and CHMOD 'd.
