.silver Admin	Posted: 4 Aug 2005 10:09:22 Long-awaited version 1.0 of all software packages (including layouts) has been released today. What's new in dotSilver Partner dating software package: * Convenient installation tool * Windows hosting support (!) * Scam/Spam report * Location display for profiles in search results (as requested) * Pagan - New value for "Religion" field (as requested) * Better handling of paid membership * Password modification is handled separately from profile edition * Numerous bugfixes Note, that dotSilver Partner now requires MySQL 3.23 and higher since database is used from now on. New version requires a different installation process, new documents are being prepared right now. Please, hold on to receive comprehensive guide. P.S. Old version (0.6) still can work in paid mode and adequately handle gold/silver and free membership but as always you are encouraged to update to version 1.0 as soon as possible to have all those new exciting features plus better membership support for higher conversion rates.
raybman Member	Posted: 4 Aug 2005 10:54:34 Can I follow the changes listed in the change-log (upgrading 0.6 to 1.0), or do I have to do a complete re-install? I have customized the look of my site (css and templates), so I would like to keep my look. But if I do a complete re-install, will the members that have registered through my site become un-associated with my site? Thanks for you help, Ray
.silver Admin	Posted: 4 Aug 2005 23:01:52 Download changelog file in http://www.dotsilver.com/software/ and use it to upgrade your 0.6 version to 1.0 version.

Make sure to upload these new files from inc folder to you site: js_check.inc.php db_funcs.class.php Also, lang_English.php has some changes, so that will need to be updated, too. Ore howe can I put my own Forum site in to it when the Member have log in. Where and howe can I do this! O something else about de mysql_select_db ("xxx"); Is it posible to make also an Tabel name. in the update off version 1.0, becaurse when you don't have two datebase you can install only one.
john	Posted: 8 Aug 2005 04:28:13 Dotsilver there is a problem in adult-.silver-partner-0.6, when you try to sign up he hang ad I am 18+ years old. After that you can not sign up becaeuse he sty there by I am 18+ years old. What to do!!!

If you want forum on your site you can do it yourself but it won't be integrated into your partner system. We have job queue list and it is possible that this proposal will get there. Every our partner can suggest his ideas and we will decide what people need in the next version. Concerning the problem with adult-.silver-partner-0.6 - install adult-.silver-partner-1.0 and everything will be all right.

Anonymous	Posted: 9 Aug 2005 07:13:11 I thought it would just be easier to install the whole 1.0 then go thru the list. After uploading, went to the site, was going thru the install and it said the "layouts" directory was not found.... but its there... right were the install says its not... played with it for about an hour then reverted the site back to the old off my backup.

john	Posted: 10 Aug 2005 04:16:46 I know Silver but I need a Prefix name ore tabel name. becaurse I like to Inslall 2 versions of 1.0. One in Dutch and One in English. If that is not posible to have a prefix name, than I have to know to resolved the problem with I am 18+ years old.

john	Posted: 10 Aug 2005 06:21:00 Hi Xtianfr I did everything here and also the stranslation but if the programm going to hang on I am 18+ years old. so the sing up can not be done. That is the same thing when you like to have 2 version on your website like adult and Partner that is not posible becaurse the database is saying you have all ready install dotsilver. that is the problem with version 1.0

If you want 2 sites (one in Englihs and another in Dutch) you can install our package to the same hosting but you should create a new directory. But I strongly recommend you to use several languages on one site. And I'm still recommending you to upgrade your 0.6 version to 1.0. You can send us your Dutch language file to tech@dotsilver.com and we will post it immediately for common use.

I don't understand it to becaurse I can still self not registrate ad http://www.wi-t.nl/adult.nl/ In the first place I think okay maybe it is the Cookies setting but no, becaurse I can registrate everywhere on y website without any other problem. It seem to me that I heva a loop on that one in the programm. But I try it again to install the version 1.0 but I know that I get the error dotsilver_config all ready installed. Okay dotsilver I did send to dotsilver the Dutch language file's. Good luck
