Posted: 21 Nov 2005 00:55:34 You should not have the power to suspend profiles, Not on My Domain name in any case, I am sure alot if not all of the other partners associated with you feel the same way. We work Very hard to get people signed up on this service to better our sites, but as long as you suspend people because you feel they should be, These sites will never be profitable. If you decide you need the power to suspend profile, I will be changing my sites to DateApp.com They leave that to our discression and from what I can see they do offer at least a way for us to keep control of our own websites even though we don't even have to have webspace to put their software on, they even provide that too. So Please Shape up, or you can take the 133 members I have signed up along with the almost 90 of them you have suspended for whatever reason you can come up with and do whatever with them. Anybody else feel the same way or do you not mind that you have to pay for everything with no benefits at all? |

Posted: 21 Nov 2005 01:25:20 I'm not enterly agreeing with you rscott ; many times I suspend some profiles alone.... some rules have been fixed about profiles and the members can read them, so, if they don't respect that rules their profile cannot be available. Some times even their emails addresses or IP are not correct.... |

Posted: 21 Nov 2005 02:08:08 That's fine but shouldn't that be up to the person that has Dotsilvers software on their servers? Why should it be left up to Dotsilver who can or can't be? I mean come on I have 134 profiles now ( within 1 week) , only maybe 28% are not suspended, most are suspended because they don't want to fill in the ridiculous amt that Dotsilver requires about their description and about who they are looking for, it's not for e-mail addresses, they are being way too picky on exactly how a profile has to be. I can sign up on any site like Date.com or Americansingles and they aren't picky at all, they are 2 of the top dating sites because of it! Even Match.com doesn't require as much. I mean this is ridiculous |

Posted: 21 Nov 2005 23:01:36 Hi rscott4581. Maybe we have a little bit strict demands to our members, but we are disputing for the quality of the profiles as no other dating sites before. Maybe the quantity of our profiles is growing not so fast, but we can say with all the confidence, that all of our profiles are real and qualitative. But the other sites cannot say that all of their profies are genuine, nor match.com , nor dateapp.com can say it. There are some accurate instructions member must keep while filling out the profile. Is it so difficult to write 3 or more sentences about yourself in your profile? I don't think so, anyway, the member can always see the reason of suspending and after he'll make necessary alterations, his profile will be approved at once. All what you need is to help and clarify to the member what should he change in his profile. We are not intrested in suspending so many profiles also. But we have to, because members don't execute the demands. Thanks. |

Posted: 26 Nov 2005 00:43:24 If what you are saying about all of the members profiles being genuine, I have to disagree with you, I have found two of them already that are not real, the photos caome from sponsors supplied photos from porn sites. I have had 3 people sign up on my sight and so far two of them have been suspeneded, now I know that these are for real members because they are members of our swing club in wisconsin. We are trying to establish a site where our members can congergate, and use the tools that have been supplied to them, but when the first two sign up and get suspeneded within the first 12 hours, and I am suppose to be their webmaster isnt really gaining their trust. It looks as if I can suspened them, but I can't unsuspened them. We may be partners, but we should have some say before you hit the suspend button. |

Posted: 27 Nov 2005 22:28:46 You can have an impact on this by writing us. Not all profiles are suspending for good reason. Sometimes the profile seems suspicious and our admins suspend it, mistakenly, as it found out later. |

Posted: 22 Dec 2005 03:05:41 i've gotta say, you do seem very quick to suspend members :( and we should have the ability to UNsuspend members, afterall, it's US that they email as an admin point of contact. |

Posted: 22 Dec 2005 22:08:36 Member can see the reason of suspention in his profile. Let he just do what is necessary and his profile will be approved. |

Posted: 11 Jan 2006 20:34:14 man, i'm glad i read this little interaction. i'm searching for a dating script but upon reading this company's reluctance to improve on what seems a weak point in the program and work with affiliates, i don't want to join. thanks |
