Judging by the numerous issues by current and prospective partners, and the lack of responses from any dotSilver staff offering help, suggests to me that "No one is minding the store" here.

I joined this partnership because initially I got the impression that dotSilver was a new, resourceful, and motivated company that was anxious to make these dating programs work and grow. However, it seems I was completely wrong.

This forum is ignored for days by the staff and if you send an email to tech support, it takes at least 3-4 days before you get a response, and I mean a "response" not necessarily a solution.

Updates and changelogs have errors, which means they were not tested before introducing them.

Installation manual is not complete and assumes the partner is well experienced in using HTML/XHTML, CSS, MySql, PHP, and Smarty. If you advertise this program as "plug and play" then make sure it is that easy because realistically, it isn't.

Sending a partners cPanel and FTP login information using regular email is completely unsecure. PARTNERS BEWARE--IF YOU DO THIS, CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! There needs to be an SSL connection for tech support... once tech support has staff available.

Sorry if this comes off negative, but if we are going to compete with the thousands of other dating sites, our's need to stand out as a well greased machine with functionality that today's clients expect.

Reasonable comment.

It is true, that sometimes we don't have enough time to give the fully support, but I want to accent that none of the emails and posts was ever unanswered. Maybe sometimes it takes more time then it should, but we are answering and helping conscientiously, no one is ignored.

Regarding the manual, we are preparing it now, especially for those, who are not well experienced in using HTML/XHTML, CSS, MySql, PHP, and Smarty.

And also we want to implement the ticket system in close future. We will be solving here those problems, which are in need of our concern and which requre your requisites. So all your requisites will be in safety, but this support will be paid.

I couldn't agree more with the author of this post.....have been wasting my time here for 3 weeks.......clearly nobody is at home or there are just too many problems and not enough answers......

We are solving those problems one by one every time. And giving the support as it possible. How do you think, how much time it takes to answer about 30 e-mails a day? And not just answer, but help to solve the problem, and sometimes it is necessary to go partner's FTP or somewhere else to help him, and it is not always possible to find out at once where the problem is. So, of course sometimes it takes us 3 or 4 days to answer and help. Please have more patience, as we are not lying on our backs here and just putting money in our pockets, we are a serious company and we do everything what is in our power.

Remember what i said before, that none of your e-mail or post on forum was ever unanswered. Our soft is free and our support is still free, and after all our actions I can see only negative comments here and no thanks. That's just upsetting me.

I think .silver does deserve a break here. I have had no problems with installing and running the software. So, far I haven't needed .silver for support, I've found most of my questions answered here on the forums. I think I may be a little more patient then many because I've been on the admin side of a dating site and this alternative is much easier and much less expensive. Somewhere along the way I think we've lost sight that they are hard working people too and there is only so much that they can get done in a day. They've put in many many hours of hard work and support and have asked for nothing in return. I've paid out several hundred dollars in a dating script and the wasn't any better then what .silver is giving us for free.

Don't get discouraged .silver, there is at least one person that says, "Thanks!" I appreciate what you guys are doing and I have a feeling many others just haven't said thanks.

If more people around here would have spent close to $1000 for a script, paid about $200 a month for a server and build a database from scratch giving away free memberships, I think they would be more appreciative. For some reason giving something away for free seems to bring more complaints then thanks. At least that's my take on the wonderful world we live in.

I think dotsilver's support has been decent and a few partners in here are very active helping too. I thank you all. If anybody needs hosting and the dotsilver script setup e-mail me! I'll square you away with reasonable hosting fees. Btw, I don't make a living from reseller hosting or anything off the internet. I'm retired.
