The search engine bots pretty much ignore dynamic sites. What could help is if there is a static html index page that can be optimized for the search engines (e.g., proper use of headers, and content). Otherwise the site will rely completely on incoming links that are not coming from the search engines. Not being indexed by the main search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc) will be a huge handicap for any web site. What options/answers does dotSilver have for this problem? a possible partner...

We understand your concern and realize that for most partners search engine promotion is the only way to start promoting their sites. In fact, we already put on our task queue development of news and articles sections implementation with SEO is mind to help partners not only have dating service engine but also ability to turn on seamlessly integrated content management tools. Also, integrated version of SkaLinks (link exchange tool) is coming with the next major dotSilver software version update. As for on-page optimization of existing pages you can change titles, meta-tags, and text in language file, you can find special groups of language entries there. Feel free to tell us what you have in mind, I'm sure your experience would be very useful in development of our software. Also, it would be cool to involve more partners in such discussions because they can also benefit as well if contribute their knowledge.

It will bring the traffic to one highest ranking partner only, but all other partners will receive nothing from google because their sites will be hidden as copies. You need optimize templates yourself if you wish to receive the traffic from google and other SE. Standard static templates also can overload database without any advantage because it generates a lot of useless requests from bots.

I would also add that not only standard templates but more important text is what should be unique on your site (including titles, meta, etc..) Search engines only see text - this should be the key of your optimization.
