Posted: 21 Dec 2005 01:10:56 It seems that _footer is not any more necessary, but when we add one script in index.html we obtain a blank page ! (even after cleaning cache and cookies) |

Posted: 21 Dec 2005 12:49:31 _footer.html is not used in index.html (homepage), it is used in all other pages. Though I am using a different theme (a customized blue theme) my template structure is the same. Some html editors will add a space or return where there shouldn't be one. Look over the file and compare it to the original or back-up file. Upload it again. |

Posted: 22 Dec 2005 12:47:09 thanks Ray ; sorry, I didn't reply because I till didn't try that, but what do you mean by html editors which will add a space ? where it will add ? |

Posted: 23 Dec 2005 09:27:33 It was just "possible" cause of your problem. A space or return around the ?> can cause problems. Using a program compatiable for code editing generally will not add these spaces or returns. If you use Wordpad, then this problem might appear. I use Crimson Editor, Dreamweaver and sometimes Notepad, but there are plenty of other reliable code editors out there. (TopStyle, EditPlus, Jedit, EditPadPro, etc.) |
